Dutch throat singer, multi-instrumentalist, and teacher with over 20 years of experience exploring and sharing the rich traditions of Mongolian music.

I'm Rowan Hartsuiker, a Dutch throat singer, multi-instrumentalist, and passionate student of Mongolian music and culture. My journey with Mongolian throat singing began in 2006, and over the years I've dedicated myself to exploring its techniques, vocal styles, and cultural traditions.
Alongside throat singing, I specialise in traditional Mongolian instruments, including the morin khuur, Altai harp, khuuchir, tovshuur, and different jaw harps.
Through my lessons, I enjoy sharing the knowledge and experience I've gathered over the years, helping others discover their own voice, develop their musical skills, and connect with the fascinating world of Mongolian music. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced musician, I aim to create a welcoming and personal learning experience tailored to your interests and goals.
